Minn Kota® Offers 72-Inch-Shaft Trolling Motors
For larger boats that require longer shaft trolling motors, Minn Kota® announces a 72-inch option on Riptide® Ulterra bow-mount trolling motors.
Big-water anglers have been asking for longer, wider and deeper boats to target various saltwater species, and boat builders have stepped up to the plate and delivered.
Up until now, however, these fishermen had to “make do” with standard 60-inch-shaft trolling motors. The problem is that motors are not long enough to accommodate larger boats, and if a trolling motor shaft is too short, the prop can leave the water momentarily, resulting in cavitation and loss of control.
To address the problem, Minn Kota will now be offering a 72-inch shaft on the Riptide Ulterra 112 with i-Pilot.
Anglers choosing a 72-inch motor shaft will maintain better boat control and stay on fish-holding structure, even in rough conditions.
