OXE, the world’s first high performance diesel outboard engine, is setting new standards for durability, fuel-efficiency and low emissions. In addition, the engine has been designed for ease of maintenance while on the water. Manufactured by CIMCO Marine Diesel, the OXE is a marinized modern automotive engine that provides quietness, effectiveness and high torque.
Fuel filtration
Fuel filtration is important for any engine and the OXE is no different. The OXE specifies the Parker Racor SNAPPTM filter, a one piece high performance fuel filter water separator. The SNAPPTM filter includes the powerful protection of patented, world-class Aquabloc® filter media. Given its proven filtration media and diesel technology, the Racor SNAPPTM filter will ensure engine protection from water and particulates.
Maintenance and service
The OXE was designed for service points to be on the front of the unit to make maintenance and service fast and easy. The design of the SNAPPTM filter fits perfectly with this vision. The Racor trademark clear bowl allows for at-a-glance inspection of fuel system integrity. And when the filter element needs to be changed, no tools are required. Element change-out is fast and easy utilizing quick release squeeze tabs.
Modular design
The Racor SNAPPTM filter is integrated into the modular layout of the OXE engine. The SNAPPTM filter is one piece, constructed of high impact nylon with a permanent stainless steel mounting bracket that resists rust and corrosion in marine environments. The clear collection bowl allows at-a-glance inspection of fuel quality with an option for a self-vent drain to easily remove collected water.
Environmental considerations
The environment is also protected by the Racor SNAPPTM filter. The element change is a one piece filter so there is no risk of contamination reaching the engine or polluting the surrounding environment.
The Racor SNAPPTM filter reduces service time, protects the engine and the environment while providing increased user friendliness of the OXE Diesel outboard engine.
